Sport and Recreation Recovery Grants

Not-for-profit sport and recreation organisations that have suffered direct damage from the severe weather event on 13 and 14 October 2022 can apply for a Sport and Recreation Recovery Grant to help pay for the costs of clean-up and reinstatement.

Grants are available to eligible not-for-profit sport and recreation organisations located in the local government areas of: Break O’Day, Burnie, Central Coast, Central Highlands, Circular Head, Devonport, Dorset, Flinders, George Town, Glamorgan-Spring Bay, Kentish, Latrobe, Launceston, Meander Valley, Northern Midlands, Waratah-Wynyard, West Coast and West Tamar.

AmountTier 1: an initial one-off amount of $5,000
Tier 2: a subsequent one-off amount of up to $20,000

Private Landowner Clean-up and Restoration Grants

Private landowners that have suffered direct damage from the severe weather event on 13 and 14 October 2022 can apply for a Private Landowner Clean-up and Restoration Grant to help pay for the costs of cleaning up debris and repairing damage on their property.

Grants are available to eligible private landowners/leaseholders located in the local government areas of: Break O’Day, Burnie, Central Coast, Central Highlands, Circular Head, Devonport, Dorset, Flinders, George Town, Glamorgan-Spring Bay, Kentish, Latrobe, Launceston, Meander Valley, Northern Midlands, Waratah-Wynyard, West Coast and West Tamar.

AmountThe maximum grant amount available is $10,000. In exceptional circumstances, up to $25,000 may be made available. Refer to the grant guidelines for more information.
